Notice of PDCA Annual General Meeting, March 21, 2026

Members (and prospective members) are advised that the Annual General Meeting of the Paluma & District Community Association Inc. will be held on:

Saturday, March 21 2026,at 12pm for a BBQ lunch followed by the AGM at 1:15pm in the Community Hall

Nominations are open for all Executive Committee positions. Nominations should be forwarded to any member of the Executive Committee or by email to PalumaPDCA@gmail.com. Please use the nomination forms, which can be downloaded here.

Positions are:

  • President, 
  • 1 or 2 Vice-Presidents
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • General Committee members (numbers flexible)  

Members are reminded that Annual Subscriptions are now due and should be paid prior to the commencement of the AGM.   Membership is $45.00 Please use the subscription form here to submit your dues. New members are more than welcome and should use the same form. Forms will be available on the day if you wish to pay your membership and join prior to the start of the meeting.

Please note that you must be a PDCA member to nominate someone to the Committee or vote for any Committee member.

The AGM will be followed immediately by a normal General Meeting with the new Committee.

If a member and wanting your vote to count but unable to attend, a signed notice of your proxy (must be a PDCA member) can be given to any member of the exec committe or by email to PalumaPDCA@gmail.com, prior to the meeting.

Reminder: Paluma Rural Fire Brigade Public Levy Meeting, Saturday January 17th at 10am.

A public meeting is to be held at the Paluma community centre at 10am for all ratepayers to discuss the setting of the 2026 fire levy.

This will be followed by the Paluma Rural Fire Brigade annual general meeting.

Notice to all Paluma Ratepayers

On Saturday January 17, a public meeting is to be held at the Paluma Community Centre at 10am for all ratepayers to discuss the setting of the 2026 fire levy. 

Come along and also find out what the brigade is up to over a cuppa and piece of cake. If there are any queries in the lead up to the meeting, please contact Sonya Bryce, Treasurer / Secretary of Paluma Rural Fire Brigade on (0474) 324153. 

The Annual General Meeting of the Paluma Rural Fire Brigade will follow on from the morning tea for those that are interested.

Reminder & Time Change: Disaster Plan briefing and Tropical BBQ

Time for the briefing on the new Emergency Action Plan has been rescheduled to 5:30 pm in order to allow people west of the Paluma Dam road to get into town (the road is closed until 5 pm). The Tropical BBQ will start immediately after the Briefing.

The briefing will be led by Sonya Bryce and Charlie Allen, who have put many hours into collecting relevant information, procedures and contacts so that we can effectively self-organise if we experience a serious rain event or cyclone in the future. The document will be continuously revised and improved. The current version and relevant appendices can be accessed on Paluma.org here.

Paluma and District Disaster Management Plan Briefing

A briefing on the current Disaster Management Plan for all residents of Paluma Village, neighbouring residential areas and Hidden Valley residents will be presented on Saturday December 13th at 5pm by the SES and RFS.

This will be followed by our annual Tropical Xmas BBQ at 6pm. Bring along whatever you wish to cook on the bbq and a side or dessert to share.

The PDCA will have a few sausages and onions on the BBQ. The bar will be open of course. It is time to kick back and welcome in the silly season and listen to some great live music by the talented Stefan Mussap.

The PDCA will be having its final executive meeting for the year on Saturday November 22nd at 5pm at the hall.

All residents are welcome to attend and engage with the agenda though voting rights are for executive members only.

The meeting will start promptly at 5pm with drinks available for purchase at the bar after closure of the meeting.

Bring along some bar snacks to share if you wish.
