Arts and Crafts are an important aspect of Paluma. Our Sunday Markets include craft stalls, and we have hosted many craft oriented workshops and art exhibitions in the village. Paluma residents have recently formed the Paluma Arts Association, which will be hosting Ephemera in the Mist in the next year.
For several decades, one of the main attractions to Paluma has been the Paluma Pottery on Lennox Crescent. The proprietor Len Cook has won prizes for his imaginative pieces reminiscent of coral and other organic objects and for his subtle earth coloured and smokey pots produced by his traditional wood-fired Anagama kiln. Len has recently complete a major renovation and re-conception of his shop, now renamed Len Cook Ceramics Studio, emphasising his artistic pieces. A visit to his new studio is key feature of any trip to Paluma.
