Male satin bower bird mid-change
Around 5 or 6 years in age male satin bower birds start a change from their juvenile female plumage to male plumage. During the change they begin a patchy moult, slowly replacing the green feathers with irridescent blue-black feathers. The transformation is complete by year seven.

Neil and the Boys
TCC refuelling legends of the 2025 floods. Pictured with the bounty that they had delivered to the village, in order to keep the lights on during the Troubles. Their smiling faces didn't know that it was going to take them two days to get home.
