Working Bee this Saturday, April 13

Our next Paluma working bee will be held this coming Saturday from 2-4 pm followed by drinks at the Community Hall.  Depending on the number of volunteers we will finish clearing fallen tree branches from Bruno’s house, and clear some roadside vegetation from the cutting.

We will meet up at the Community Hall first.

See you there

  1. Why do you keep clearing “roadside vegetation ” from the cutting. Enough has already been cleared. I will be making a complaint to the council if this continues. There is nothing wrong with the vegetation there.

    1. Hi Rosie, After having been involved in a traffic accident recently on the range road I would have thought that you would be in favour of improving road safety. The vegetation control involves cutting back overhanging branches to ensure large vehicles can pass each other safely in this cutting. If you go back two years this section was so overgrown that the guide posts were not visible. As you say in your post there is nothing wrong at the cutting, however if the vegetation isn’t controlled it will regrow and we will be back with a dangerous situation. Please feel free to come to the working bee at 2pm this Saturday to inspect the cutting and discuss the proposed works.
