Another Baby Tree Snake

I have previously posted (bragged) about the haven my garden provides for brown tree snakes of all sizes (Boiga irregularis). In October 2022 I posted a photograph of a rather cute baby brown tree snake amongst the foliage in my bromeliad patch. Today I encountered another baby resting on the broad leaves of one of my anthuriums amongst the pot plants. I couldn’t resist sharing this photograph of this very handsome specimen. Check out those huge eyes….!

  1. Great photo thanks for sharing. Next time you see him/her I’d love to come and have a look.

  2. Great nature shot. Hopefully not Kookaburra bait. On a recent visit to my brothers property at Blackfriars I was lucky to catch site of the elusive Rooster on the range. He was in fine form about one hundred meters above The Saddle and is looking in very healthy condition. I wondered if I should drop him off a couple of hens on my next visit as he is probably getting a little lonely by now. There is quit a collection of wild Roosters and Hens on a section of the Thompson river north of Longreach where they have been there for many years . The population numbers seem to remain quite constant by some form of natural control. A good tourist attraction.

  3. Very cute
    Looks so vulnerable
A lovely photo Michelle Thanks for sharing
