Paluma is a very special place. Nestled in misty upland rainforest at the crest of the coastal range, the village is embedded in the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area and surrounded by National Parks. It is a welcome respite from the summer heat of Townsville and during the winter you can smell the smoke from wood stoves throughout the village.
The PDCA acknowledges and pays respect to the Aboriginal Traditional Owners of Paluma and surrounding lands, the Nywaigi People, Gugu Badhun People and Gurambilbarra Wulgurukaba People.
This website, developed and maintained by the Paluma & District Community Association (PDCA), provides a visually rich tour of the sites and activities on offer in the village and surrounding district.
