Fungi

Rainforests are particularly rich in fungi due to the high and fairly constant levels of moisture on the ground. Fungi are a huge group of organisms that are classified into a separate Kingdom alongside plants and animals. They include typical mushrooms but also huge groups of moulds, and single celled/microscopic pathogens. Mushrooms, shelf Fungi, coral fungi and other similar groups are abundant along the rainforest tracks in the Village and around the Dam.
