Paluma has a rich diversity of reptiles although they can be a bit secretive, and once seen they are often tricky to visually identify for the untrained eye.
The brown tree snake and red-bellied black snake (venomous) are common in many gardens as well as the water skink.
Along the tracks you may also encounter Boyd’s Rainforest Dragon, Carpet snakes and Amethestine pythons (which can also be found on the roads at night)
