Playing With Fire

Title:

Playing With Fire

Description:

There is always excitement around the time of Len’s anagama firings. It has been a privilege to watch him cajole ‘Mother’ (my nickname) to hellish temperatures to achieve the burnish and sheen of his glorious pieces. Everything is recorded; it is a passionate science. Art from the heart.

After Dark

Some of the most fascinating natural aspects of Paluma can be seen on one of Jamie’s night spotting walks. If you ask, I’m sure he’d oblige you with a fun nighttime venture into the forest.

Gugu Badhun Country

This is where the Mt Zero-Taravale Wildlife Sanctuary is, a little west of Paluma. It is a critical biodiversity hotspot and the centre of a massive Australian Wildlife Conservancy project involving the Northern Quoll. We are so proud of Flick and Macca and their team and love seeing them (when they have time) in the village.

Wilfred and his willing ‘worker bees’ play a major part in the maintenance and upkeep of our village assets so locals and visitors alike can enjoy it.

The quiet before the storm… one of the more peaceful checkpoints along the way of the Paluma Push.

To Life!

It astounds me so many put their bodies through so much and absolutely love it! I just love the energy and vitality the Paluma Push brings to this place.
