Old Quandong tree on track to Witts Lookout
Description:
I thought I might start the exhibition with an old photo of this magnificent old tree that has captivated many visitors to Paluma, as it did for me back in 1975. It's still there now, over half a century later and looks almost the same. At the time I remember thinking how great it would be to live up in Paluma amongst all the trees and birds and waterfalls. It took me awhile but we finally bought our house here in 1995.

The date and camera information indicate when I used a digital camera to digitise the old slide (the original was taken on a Nikkormat and Kodachrome 64 using a tripod).
